The chess pieces are used to symbolize the offensive and defensiveness that it take to own or run a business. The goal was to create something professional, recognizable, and sleek. I went with outlines of the chess pieces so the logo wouldn't look too "heavy". The Rook and Knight are protecting the King/Queen (which represent the client) that Stoneking Consulting is working with, symbolizing protecting the company, leading the client on the right path to success, and having the companies back.
